“As a poetry lover, I knew I would love Hanna’s book; I, however, did not expect it to evoke, from me, a strong feeling of empathy and nostalgia. I came across the poem “Morfar” and after reading it, I was in tears for it reminded me of my grandfather that passed away late June while my parents and I were away vacationing. The burden of not being able to say goodbye was heavy on both my mom and I and as much as I tried to remember our last conversation, I couldn’t. This poem brought me such peace and reminded me that, though I was never able to say goodbye nor remember our last exchange of words, the memories I shared with him will forever be held in my heart.”
